Weekly Update 5/6/19

Good morning!

I have a few updates for us this week:

Tomorrow, Wednesday May 8th, we have a really special fire presentation by Mr. Coats (Ryder’s dad). The kids are going to be able to see a real fire truck as well as learn important facts about fire safety. This will begin at 11:00 am.

As a reminder, we do not have homework for the rest of the year. However, please make sure you are continuing to work on sight words with your child to support their reading development. Additionally, I am going to be sending home their lines for promotion again (in case you misplaced them), so please have them practice those once each night.

We will be adding our Little Red Hen production to the kinder promotion- this will ensure that you all have the day off and it will give us a little extra time to practice. Kinder promotion will take place on Thursday, May 23rd at 10:00 am- we will be sending a formal invitation sometime this week. This will also be the last day of school for our TK’s and Kinders.

I am very happy to say that the students have reached their goal of 10 class points to receive a pajama party! We will be having this this Friday, May 10th, with popcorn, hot chocolate and waffles. Please send your child in a warm and appropriate set of pajamas. It is a half-day, so they will not need to bring extra clothes- or a snack for that matter. There will be plenty to eat. Dismissal is at 12:00 pm.

Finally, we will be having our St. Mary Mazzarello Liturgy next Monday, May 13th at 11:00 am in the chapel. All are welcome!

Have a great week!
