Good morning parents!

I apologize for posting this a day late, I was out yesterday due to a doctors appointment. I have a few updates for you this week:

This Friday, September 20th is our St. Francis fun day! This is such a special day in which we are invited to St. Francis High School to celebrate all the local Catholic Schools serving the community. The day will begin in their cafeteria with Mass- this begins at 8:30 am, but please have your child arrive by 8:00 am in order to get situated. While there is extra parking across the street from St. Francis, we do ask that you drop your student off inside before parking. No child should be crossing the street either with or without a parent. Following Mass, the students will then spend the whole day engaged in all the activities St. Francis provides- bounce houses, face painting, lawn games, etc.

A hot dog lunch as well as a snack is provided by St. Francis. If your student does not like hot dogs, you may send them with a lunch. Please keep in mind, however, that they will have to carry this with them until lunch. Students should wear their spirit shirts, jeans, and pe shoes.

Generally speaking, our 7th grade buddies spend the day with us. However, we do like to have extra parent volunteers on hand for supervision. So far, we have 3 parent volunteers in addition to myself and Mrs. Garcia. If you would like to volunteer to spend the day with us, please send me an email! Please keep in mind that if you plan on spending the day with us, we ask that no younger siblings be present. This allows us to focus our attention on our Salesian students.

Finally, our class is signed up to go on a very special field trip to see CYT’s Seussical the Musical on Friday, October 18th, at 9:00 am and the Santa Cruz Veterans Hall. We will be meeting at Aldridge Park at 7:30 am to head over. I have down that we will be bringing four parent volunteers. The price is $8/ticket and if you would like to come with, please plan on driving your group of students. Because I had to turn in our number of seats early, I will be taking the first four parents to email me. Please let me know if you are available to come with us for this field trip.
