We did it! Day 3 is in the books!

It was the 1st full day of school! It was the 1st assembly in the cafeteria! It was their 1st lunch! It was their 1st siesta! It was their 1st PE! Oh my, there is so much to do on a busy day in Kindergarten!

Feel free to ask them about our calendar space (calendar, weather, number of the day, pledge).

We read several stories today between our calendar time (manners) and our language time (feelings), “Thank You Bear”, “If You Take A Mouse to School”, “Glad Monster, Sad Monster”, “Food Play” and “In My Heart.” The number of the day was 3 and the kids got to try out their math cubes.

We had a fun conversation about “If you give a mouse a (fill in the blank….and then what would the mouse want next)”. I encourage you to try it!

The kids also listened to a longer version of The Creation Story at the close of their nap, with the message that what God makes is good!
