Looking Forward

Dear Salesian Family,

It is always with great excitement and joy that we open our school doors and look forward to a wonderful school year ahead! We have been so blessed to receive a grant to purchase new desks for all our students. It has been busy ensuring all classrooms are clean and ready to go. Some things are new, but the one thing that does not change and remains the same is our mission to provide a child-centered learning environment within a family atmosphere that embodies the Salesian philosophy of reason, religion, and loving kindness as taught by Saint John Bosco and Saint Mary Mazzarello.

As you know, many of our schools are suffering the strain of teacher shortage. We have all felt the effects of teacher shortage, even here at Salesian. There have been some unexpected changes among the new staff that we shared with you over the summer. In spite of all the challenges, we have been so incredibly blessed to have hired a fantastic group of teachers for this new school year. I cannot wait to introduce them at our Back to School Night! God has greatly rewarded our untiring efforts to persevere in our search for the best teachers we could find. I am deeply grateful for experiencing our faculty in-service days this week so enjoyable and filled with so much positive energy.

Thank you for entrusting your children to our care. A well-rounded education is possible only if we can work together as partners in providing the best for our children. It is because of your support as our parents and that of all our friends and alumni that Salesian has been able to continue to provide a quality education for all our students. Together we can reap the rewards of watching your children develop into good Christians and honest citizens.

Let us all commit to being part of a plan to make our school stronger in our faith with a bright vision for our children as we place this school year under the maternal care of Our Blessed Mother.

God bless,

Sr. Carmen, FMA
