Month of November

Dear Salesian Family,

The month of November carries with it a number of beautiful feasts, and is a time of great consolation and hope. We have All Saints Day, which is a day when we honor all the saints who intercede for us before God. We also commemorate our loved ones who have gone before us, passing from this life into eternal life.

Life is a gift from God. It is not how long we live our life, but the quality of life we live that is most important. As a great Roman philosopher once said, “It is quality, rather than quantity, that matters.” Seneca

We have sent home a lavender-colored slip of paper for families to record the names of relatives and friends that have gone to their eternal reward. Their names will be placed in our Chapel and remembered in a special way every day during the Sisters’ morning Mass throughout the month of November.

We will have a special Mass with our student body, in honor of all Saints Day. During this Mass, we will also have a special intention for the souls of all our departed.

Eternal rest grant unto them, Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. AMEN

God bless,

Sr. Carmen, FMA
