Put Your Trust In The Lord

Dear Salesian Families,

In speaking with one of the Sisters this weekend, we were commenting how Jesus loves to play hide and seek with us. He seems to hide in the midst of happy events such as a birthday celebration, a wedding, the birth of a child. He also takes the time to hide in our disappointments and sad moments. He does not do this to discourage us from finding him, rather, it becomes a time for us to engage in a loving search to find Him in all people and events. The “catch” is to see how often we are able to find him during our hectic day. Finally, at night before we lay our head on our pillow, we can say to Him, “Tag! You’re it!” Yes, He is IT! He will take all we have offered him during the day. He alone is the source of our peace. Take time with your family and talk about the times that Jesus seemed to be hiding from you, and how you went about searching for him while he was right in front of you all the time. Jesus is a loving brother who knows us and understands what we are going through. “Put your trust in the Lord and he will sustain you.” (Ps.55:22)
